1. My personal network is a network that consists of many different sites and online social networking sites, that I have been a part of and joined or used. By searching these sites or following others on twitter for example I am able to learn helpful resources I can go to for help on teaching or anything that I wish to get help on. Not only am I able to learn from resourceful sites the answers to my questions but also people who have interests such as me in education. Things like ed chats on twitter can also be considered a PLN because you can learn from discussions of education, and what might be going on in their own schools. Overall PLN is a important resource to have for all educators.
2. Discuss your use of Twitter, including who is in your network and why, and your participation in an educational chat (list the topic discussed and what you learned)
By using Twitter, I have learned that I can get the answers to most of my questions in a fast and bothersome less way, meaning that I can go to the Internet on twitter instead of bothering a busy friend or colleague. The people in my twitter network mainly include people who are interested in education.
The chat I tuned in to was ed chat, and the topic was social media for professional development. Although I wasn't quite sure how to use twitter, I just saw a bit of how chats are quick and fast and easy to join. One of the things that I struggled with, was trying to see the first tweet to know the topic of the day, but in the end I found out and learned that it will be helpful in my career to use this technology to discuss current news topics.
3. Discuss your use of Delicious, your Delicious network, and describe what you tagged "PLN"and why (there should already be a link to your Delicious Tag Roll on your blog)
Delicious is also very helpful bookmarking site that introduced me to several interesting sites that other people tagged and made more accessible to me. By adding key words or things to a website and adding it to Delicious bookmarking, other people like myself can find websites that may be benefiting to other educators. Therefore I choose educators or people interested in education to be included in my network.
4. Discuss which digital discussion forum you joined, add the badge to your blog, and reflect on the blog post, video, or article you explored.
I joined the Educator's PLN and after watching twitter in the classroom, I learned that students can learn online like twitter, students can then learn future social networking knowledge of how to navigate the Internet to find the answer to your question, not only will they be learning but as the video said, students like and enjoy classes that use technology.
